Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia score full 5 star rating in Global NCAP crash test. Both the sedan siblings achieved 5 star rating for Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection. It is the highest rating in the Global NCAP crash tests.
The German sedans have set a new benchmark in the C-segment sedan space with these ratings. Both the cars join their compact SUV brothers Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun that received a similar 5-star safety rating in October 2022.
Skoda and Volkswagen claim that these cars are the safest made in India sedans. They have achieved 29.71 out of 34 for Adult Occupant Protection and 42 out of 49 marks for Child Occupant Protection. The bodyshell was rated as stable and it is capable of withstanding further loadings.
