In a bid to improve their diminishing market share in India, Mahindra is gearing up for new launches. The second generation XUV500 codenamed W601 that we spotted recently is scheduled to launch in the coming fiscal that starts in April 2020.

The new gen XUV500 will get a drastic makeover with its exteriors and interiors and will be offering new tech and features. Then there is the new generation Scorpio, codenamed Z101. It will be based on a new monocoque platform and will be introduced by 2021 fiscal year.

The Indian UV maker is testing the second generation Thar too that has been spotted multiple times. It will get styling inspiration from Jeep Wrangler and will be a more premium offering compared to the current model. The new Thar which is codenamed W501 will be hitting the roads in 2021 fiscal.

There is an all-new compact SUV under development by Mahindra, which is based on Ford’s B-segment architecture. This compact SUV will compete against the Hyundai Creta. It is codenamed S204 and will be introduced in 2022 fiscal year.

Mahindra has also planned to introduce new range of electric vehicles. Two of these will be based on the KUV100 and XUV300 while there is a Ford Aspire based electric sedan in the pipeline.
