TVS Showcases Updated Wego At Auto Expo, April Launch
TVS Motor showcased the upgraded Wego scooter at the 2014 Auto Expo. The upgraded Wego is targeted at young couples and gets a host of changes on the exteriors and the powertrain. TVS also showcased its entire lineup as well as the Draken concept and the Graphite concept at the motor show.
The upgraded TVS Wego gets new dual-tone colour options in Red – Black, White – Black and Grey – Black colour schemes. TVS will also offer mono tone colour options as well. The scooter features an all-black theme covering the front luggage box, plastics, engine, 5-spoke wheels, rear grab rails and rear view mirrors. The Wego has also been updated with a digital speedometer, tubeless tyres, parking brakes, a new muffler and an econometer.
The upgraded TVS Wego will be powered by an all-aluminium, low-friction 110cc CVTi engine which is derived from the Phoenix. TVS has developed the engine using technologies such as tailor made simulation and frequency response analysis techniques. The engine has been tuned to deliver high performance and mileage with excellent ride quality and minimal NVH. TVS is expected to launch the scooter by April this year along with the TVS Star City+ motorcycle and the TVS Scooty Zest that also use the same powerplant.
