TVS Launches 2012 StaR City

TVS Motor has just launched the 2012 edition of the StaR City.. The bike now features dual tone body colours, new headlamp, clear indicators and will be available in six colours – Blue, Green, Red, Crimson, Gold and Silver. Powered by a 110cc CVTi (Continuous Variable Timing Ignition) engine, the StaR Cit produces 8.2 BHP of peak power at 7500 RPM and 8.1 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, the bike returns 83.9 kmpl as per ARAI. However, you won’t get anything above 65 kmpl as ARAI mileage figures are not achievable in the real world. The 2012 TVS StaR City is priced at Rs. 38,650/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The TVS StaR City is offered with 5-year warranty as standard. The motorcycle now feature black alloy wheels and a backlit speedometer. Also available is the econometer, which showcases the rider about how much economy he is achieving. Now all of a sudden, the shift towards 110cc bikes seems to become rampant. On one end, we are craving for 200cc and above bikes, while on the other, manufacturers are not stopping their 110cc announcements. These 110cc bikes account for bread and butter for many manufacturers, TVS included!
