Toyota will not change its plans to bring the Prius to India even though its Japanese arm is planning a global recall of the first mass produced hybrid. Bookings for the Prius started in January and the vehicles will be delivered by March-end or April beginning. So far the company has got orders for 54 units of the Toyota Prius from customers in India. Priced between Rs 26.55 lakh and Rs 27.86 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi), Toyota India has ordered 200 units from its parent to be sold during March-December this year.
