Top 20 Selling Two-Wheelers In November 2015, Sales Take A Hit
Sales of almost every two-wheeler are down right now. While some products witness a huge drop in numbers, there are others with rather smallish losses.
So, the battle between the Honda Activa and Hero Splendor continues as always. In October 2015, it was the Activa which was leading while this time again tides have turned around. Numbers of the Splendor have fallen a bit but it has lunged ahead of the Activa while the latter’s sales have taken a major hit and its numbers are below 2 lakh units now. On the other hand, the Hero HF Deluxe, Passion and Honda CB Shine have maintained their respective positions without any changes. However, sales of these three bikes have also taken a hit by a significant margin.
The Bajaj CT100 has fallen by 3 positions and again this bike’s decrease in numbers is also quite drastic. On the other hand, the TVS XL Super and Jupiter have moved up by a couple of positions each inspite of having a minor drop in sales. The Bajaj Pulsar has moved up by one position while the Hero Maestro has dropped by 4 ranks. What is shocking is the fact that the Maestro’s sales have fallen from 65,000-odd units to 35,000-odd units which is very significant.
The Bajaj Platina has moved up one position with again a bit of a drop in sales. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is one of the few bikes here who’s sales haven’t fallen by a big margin. With consistent performance, the cruiser motorcycle has moved up the sales ladder. The TVS Star City and Apache bikes have maintained their respective positions too. It seems that TVS has been performing pretty nicely at a time when sales of most other companies are falling.
The Bajaj Discover witnesses a slight dip in sales but the commuter bike has managed to move up the ladder by 4 ranks which is pretty good. The Honda Livo and Hero Duet are new entrants to this list. The Honda Dream’s sales have fallen by half and the bike has gone down 8 ranks which is very drastic! The overall sentiment of last month is that sales of almost every two-wheeler are down and there could be various reasons for this. This month’s numbers are going to be interesting for sure.
