Tata extends lifetime battery warranty to Curvv.ev and Nexon.ev 45 kWh

Tata Motors has expanded its lifetime battery warranty initiative to now include the Curvv.ev and the Nexon.ev 45 kWh variants. Originally introduced with the Harrier.ev, this warranty now covers high-voltage (HV) batteries for an unlimited number of kilometers, and is applicable to private individual customers and first-time EV buyers.

This strategic move is aimed at alleviating one of the key concerns among potential electric vehicle (EV) customers: battery longevity and the associated replacement costs. By providing a lifetime warranty, Tata is addressing this long-term ownership barrier head-on, potentially encouraging broader EV adoption.

In addition to the warranty coverage, Tata Motors has also rolled out a loyalty program for current Tata.ev owners. As part of this program, existing customers are eligible for a direct benefit of Rs. 50,000 when purchasing either the Curvv.ev or the Nexon.ev 45 kWh.

Tata claims that over a 10-year period, customers could see savings of Rs. 8–9 lakhs in running costs when compared to internal combustion engine vehicles. The company also suggests that the lifetime warranty will enhance the long-term resale value of its EVs, adding further financial reassurance for buyers.

With these updates, Tata Motors continues to position itself as a key player in the Indian EV space, combining cost-efficiency, long-term value, and buyer confidence into its growing electric vehicle lineup.
