The bike is sold out in the country

Popularly known as the “Dhoom” bike in India, the Suzuki Hayabusa gets discontinued in the country. The Hayabusa is completely sold out and there is not stock of the bike left with the Japanese bike maker.

The outgoing model was BS4 compliant and the company doesn’t have a BS6 compliant Hayabusa ready yet. The Hayabusa is not expected to make a comeback now as Suzuki doesn’t plan to focus on its transition.

The Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by a 1340cc, in-line, 4-valve, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces 197 BHP and 155 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The latest iteration was launched in December 2019 in India, priced at Rs. 13.75 lakhs (ex-showroom). It was available in the country via the CKD route. The key rival for the Suzuki Hayabusa was the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R.
