Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker is planning to enter the Indian car market with its new Spyker C8 Aileron sportscar. The completely handcrafted supercar will offer ultimate level of exclusivity and will cost around Rs. 3 crore (including customs duty). The Aileron uses the Audi 4.2 litre V8 giving 400 BHP. The 5-valve 4-cam engine is mated to a 6 speed Getrag manual or a 6 speed automatic ZF gearbox. Initially, Spyker would be happy selling as little as two-three cars a year.

“We would be really stupid and arrogant not to come to look at one of the largest markets in the world,” said Hans Van Rennes, vice- president, Marketing and Communication, Spyker Cars.
