Skoda India Picks 2 Launch Dates For Slavia

The Skoda Slavia India launch will happen on 28th February and 3rd March 2022

Skoda Auto India has announced that the market launch of the Slavia C-segment sedan will happen in the country in 2 phases.

On 28th February, the Czech brand will introduce the 1.0-litre TSI variants of the Slavia in India. A few days later, on 3rd March, the 1.5-litre TSI grades of the sedan will be up for sale.

Skoda India has also announced that both test drives and customer deliveries of the different variants of the Slavia will commence with the respective launch dates.

The first car from the brand to be launched as part of the phase 2 of the India 2.0 project, the sedan will come with LED lights, 16-inch wheels, 8-inch digital instrument display, 10-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM and wireless mobile charging, among other features.

There will only be 3 grades on offer – Active, Ambition and Style – and the car will come with 2 turbo-petrol engine options – 1.0-litre unit (115 PS) and 1.5-litre motor (150 PS).

Transmission options will include a standard 6-speed manual, 6-speed auto for the 3-cylinder motor and 7-speed DSG for the 4-pot mill with cylinder deactivation.

Skoda says the Slavia (built on MQB-A0-IN platform) will come equipped with up to 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, VSM, EDL, TC, HHC, TPMS and ISOFIX points.
