Royal Enfield Himalayan EV looks similar to Himalayan 452

Royal Enfield made waves at EICMA 2023 by showcasing the eagerly awaited Himalayan 452 alongside an electric counterpart, the Himalayan EV. This marks a pivotal moment in Royal Enfield’s journey as they venture into the world of electric mobility.

The Himalayan EV concept is a pure electric adventure motorcycle prototype. It is a test bed to develop the next generation electric powertrain. The prototype has undergone rigorous testing, including wind tunnel assessments and trials across various terrains.

One standout feature of this electric adventure motorcycle is its battery, which serves as a structural element of the motorcycle. This design approach not only enhances the bike’s performance but also contributes to its overall strength and durability.

It is equipped with an upside down front fork and a monoshock at the rear. The Him-E rides on wire-spoke wheels and its braking is managed by a set of petal type discs for efficient stopping power.

Although Royal Enfield has not yet revealed the exact technical specifications of the Himalayan EV, the company has disclosed that the prototype has been in development for the past 18 months.
