Renault has officially revealed it plans for India. The company has confirmed the development of an all new platform (Global A) that will be the basis for a range of small cars in the near future. The Renault small car will heavily localised and will be manufactured in Chennai, where the Micra is produced. The entry level Renault will compete with the Maruti WagonR, Hyundai Santro and other small cars, priced at Rs. 3.35 lakhs. However this new Renault will see the light of the day only by 2015.
