Ola Electric motorcycles teased for the first time
Ola teases their future range of electric motorcycles and updates their current S1 scooter range. The electric two-wheeler maker is betting big on the EV future and has plans to launch an electric car as well.
Firstly, the Indian EV maker has updated the current S1 portfolio. They have added 2 kWh battery capacity option for the standard S1. It gets the same 8.5 kW motor but a shorter range of 91 km compared to the 3 kWh battery’s 141 km. It has a top speed of 90 km/hr and is priced at Rs. 99,999/- (ex-showroom).
Next, they have introduced the S1 Air entry level range which comes with three battery pack options. It comes with a starting price of Rs. 84,999/- (ex-showroom).
The Ola S1 Air variants are now available for reservations. Deliveries will commence by July 2023. For those who have reserved 2.5 kWh option, Ola will offer a free upgrade to 3.0 kWh variant.
After the announcement of the updated scooter range, they teased their upcoming motorcycle range. There are 5 concept motorcycles in the teaser with different body types. We can spot a cafe racer, adventure motorcycle, naked bike, sports bike and a cruiser as well. The EV maker is expected to introduce their new range of bikes starting from 2024.
