The instrument cluster gets a semi-digital layout

Royal Enfield is going to launch the next generation Classic in 2020 and it will be BS6 compliant while also getting a host of other changes. It will also come with a new semi-digital instrument cluster with a digital display that’ll show the odometer, trip meter and fuel level.

The silver unit gets an orange needle with back illumination while the speed markings get a yellow outline. The switchgear on the LHS gets a rotary knob for dimming/brightening the headlamp and for the headlamp pass function. Along with this, there are indicator and horn buttons too.

The RHS switchgear comes with a red rolling controller in place of the standard engine kill switch. The bike is also likely to get other changes like a repositioned brake lever, new footpegs, reworked exhaust, etc. The bike will also get a new BS6 compliant engine and while tech specs aren’t known at the moment, we expect it to be a 375cc unit with a 6-speed transmission.
