Next Gen Kia Seltos To Get Hybrid Powertrain
Kia will be revealing the next generation Seltos in the second half of 2025 and the Korean automaker has confirmed that the vehicle will now get a petrol-hybrid powertrain at their recent 2025 Investor Day.
The hybrid powertrain is likely to be based on the current 1.5-litre, 4-cyl NA petrol engine and the same is likely to be offered on the brand’s upcoming 3 row SUV as well. By 2030, Kia is aiming to get 25% of their sales from hybrids and 18% from EVs.
The second generation Seltos will be getting major changes to the design. The new face will be inspired from the brand’s newer vehicles including EVs while the interior will have a stronger focus on tech and luxury.
While the world debut of the new Seltos will happen later this year, we can expect it to be launched in India in early 2026. Apart from the new hybrid powertrain, the vehicle is likely to retain its 1.5-litre turbo petrol and diesel engines as well.
