Volkswagen Golf Spied In Pune

Sumeet Jaroliya has posted a picture of two Volkswagen Golf cars on the Car and Bike Show’s Facebook Page. Sumeet spotted theses cars in near Aundh in Pune. Now its almost certain that Volkswagen won’t be launching the Golf in India any time soon and the only reason these cars are doing the rounds is because of the upcoming new 2011 Jetta.The Volkswagen Jetta shares its engines and gearboxes with the Golf, so by testing the Golf. This would help the attract less attention and also prevent people from becoming aware of a new Jetta in the pipeline. Remember we had earlier spotted the Seat Ibiza in Mumbai (read about it here), which was being tested as a Polo in disguise. Could Volkswagen be doing the same thing now? We are quite confident they are!

Edit – MotorBeam reader Suraj Desai has notified to us that these cars were spotted last year. This rules out any possibility of the Jetta being tested in disguise.
