Hyundai plans to launch a small car below the Santro, codenamed HA by the end of 2011. The Hyundai HA will be priced between Rs. 2-3 lakh and will compete directly with the top variants of the Tata Nano and lower variants from Maruti Suzuki. The HA is based on the Santro platform, which helps Hyundai price the car very competitively. The HA will be powered by a 814cc 3 pot version of the Epsilon engine which does duty in the Santro. Power figures are estimated at around 48bhp and the HA will share lots of its parts with the Santro.
