Mitsubishi Confirms Lancer Evo & Pajero Sports Launch

Mitsubishi has finally confirmed the launch of the Lancer Evolution X and the Pajero Sports in India. The company is looking to double its sales to 5,000 units this fiscal. Last fiscal it sold 2,200 units. There has already been alot of speculation on the pricing front of the EVO and we expect the car to cost upwards of Rs. 40 lakhs. The Pajero Sports though will be priced around the current Pajero and will compete directly with the Toyota Fortuner.

“We have just launched the new Outlander and our next plan is to launch a new Pajero, which will hit the market by the end of this fiscal,” Hindustan Motors executive vice-president and business head Vijay Kumar said. “We will also introduce our Evolution series of cars this fiscal,” he added.
