MG Hector Undisguised Test Mules Spotted Ahead Of Launch

The test mules were seen in two different colour schemes and had carried noticeable differences externally.

MG Motor India will be launching the highly-anticipated Hector in May 2019 and ahead of the vehicle’s official launch, a couple of test mules have been spotted without any sort of camouflage. Both the vehicles seem to be different variants because they have different alloys and other minor differences on the outside.

The MG Hector spotted undisguised, was wearing a metallic grey paint scheme. It gets silver trims around the grille, bumper, headlight housing and on the sides of the vehicle. It is fitted with silver alloy wheels which indicate that it could also be a lower variant of the SUV. Coming to the other test vehicle, it gets chrome trims around the grille, headlight housing and also on the sides. The vehicle is finished in a purple shade and also gets dual-tone alloy wheels which suggest it could be the top of the line variant. However, both the vehicles get projector headlamps, LED DRLs, roof rails and OVRMs with integrated signal indicators.

The MG Hector SUV will most likely be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine making 141 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. It could also get a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 171 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The Hector will also come in hybrid guise.
