With the demise of the legendary Maruti 800, Maruti Suzuki is all set to get the Alto in the 800 territory. The company is coming out with a stripped down version of its best selling car. Thought the design will remain the same, the new Alto will be powered by a much efficient 1-liter K-series engine and will be priced around the Rs. 2 lakh mark. With such competitive pricing, Maruti plans to counter competition in the small car segment and also give buyers good value for money.
