Maruti Suzuki Plans Locally Made Kizashi

Maruti Suzuki plans to go premium in India, even though it failed to capture the premium SUV market with the Grand Vitara. The company will launch the Kizashi early next year and intents to manufacture it locally to keep costs down. This would mean that the Kizashi will be priced around Rs. 17 lakhs making it a competitive alternative to the likes of the Honda Accord and Skoda Laura. However the made in Kizashi is still take a couple of years away as Maruti has serious capacity constraints at its Manesar facility.
