Maruti Suzuki Plans 3rd Plant At Manesar

Maruti Suzuki is considering setting up a third plant at Manesar. This will invite an investment of about Rs 1,700 crore and will be the company’s sixth plant in the country. This new plant will have an annual capacity of rolling out 2.5 lakh units per year and is similar to the second plant which will be operational by 2012. India’s largest carmaker’s Manesar facility has an annual production capacity of 3 lakh units, while the Gurgaon plant produces seven lakh units per annum.
