Maruti Produces 10 Lakh K-Series Engines

Maruti Suzuki has some reason to rejoice, even after posting a decline in sales this month. India’s largest automaker has managed to produce 10 lakh units of its K-Series engines within just three years of introduction. The K-Series engine was first launched in the A-Star and is managed at the automaker’s Gurgaon plant. Maruti Suzuki has used the K-series engine in 1.36 lakh units of the Alto K-10, 3.5 lakh units of the A-Star, 1.9 lakh units of the WagonR, 1.05 lakh units of Estilo, 95,000 units of Ritz and 1.24 lakh units of Swift.

“We feel proud that customers have really appreciated our offerings mounted with the next generation K-series engine. As market leader, we have continuously improved the technologies over the years,” Shashank Srivastava, Maruti Suzuki, Chief GM (Marketing) said.
