Mahindra To Introduce Electric Vehicles In 18 Months

Mahindra will be introducing a proper consumer oriented electric car in the next 18 months with help from Reva Electric which is owned by Mahindra. The car will be based on an existing car in Mahindras portfolio. The project has taken off already as the company has started testing this technology on Mahindra cars. Though on which they are testing is still a mystery. The company a year back had made plans to Introduce the Scorpio with an electric fuel option so in all probability we can expect the Scorpio in the electric avatar. Reva which is currently selling the REVAi through Mahindra showrooms will be launching the REVA NXR by next year followed by the NXG.
