Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Test Drive Review
The large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system takes centre stage
Interiors – The design of the dashboard and the interior layout is quite different from the regular Grand i10. The interior is offered with 3 colour themes – dual-tone grey, black with blue accents and black with red accents. The steering wheel gets a new design and the centre console gets a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The sound quality from the stock speakers is quite good for a car of this segment and the screen is crisp. The NIOS comes with wireless charging too, which is a segment-first feature. Some other features on the NIOS include a rearview camera, automatic climate control, electrically folding ORVMs and a push start button.
The rear seat offers good comfort but fitting 3 people will be tight

The front seats are comfy and supportive but the downside is that the headrests at the front are non-adjustable. The driving position is quite good with nice all-round visibility. The rear bench is flat and wide and it has been designed with an emphasis on under-thigh support which is indeed pretty decent. With the driving position set for a 6-footer, there’s a decent amount of legroom at the rear. Headroom is good too but since the car is narrow, fitting 3 people at the rear might be a task. All 4 doors come with a 1-litre bottle-holder while storage spaces in the centre are also more than enough. The glovebox is spacious and just above that, there’s an open recess to store things too. The 260-litre boot isn’t very large but just enough to carry luggage for a couple of days’ trip.
