Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo Launched, Priced From Rs. 8.50 Lakh
Hyundai has updated the Exter CNG and it now gets a dual-tank setup instead of the single tank configuration it got earlier. The CNG tanks are placed in the spare wheel area of the vehicle, thus freeing up some amount of boot space.
The Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo is available in S, SX and Knight SX variants and the pricing is around Rs. 1 lakh more than the pure petrol variants if we talk about On-Road prices. The water capacity of the CNG tanks combined is 60-litres which is at par with rivals and the ARAI-claimed fuel efficiency is 27.1 km/kg.
The Hyundai Exter CNG gets the same 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine which delivers 69 PS of power and 85.2 Nm of torque on CNG. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. Hyundai offers a 5-speed AMT with the pure petrol version. Tata is the only automaker right now to offer an AMT + CNG combo.
