Hyundai Advances Small Car Launch

Hyundai is working on a small car (code named H800), which would rival the Tata Nano and Maruti Suzuki Alto. Also known as the HA, the small car would slot below the Santro and will be priced around Rs. 2 lakhs. It will be powered by a 800cc, 3-cylinder engine which would produce 60hp of power. Various technologies such as variable valve timing would help Hyundai attain good fuel efficiency on the car. The company has advanced the launch to the end of 2011, with sightings of the HA being spotted in and around Chennai. A diesel variant won’t be seen in the near future, but chances of this Nano rival running on alternative fuels is highly likely.
