Honda Outboard Engines Launched In Kerala

Honda Products India, a subsidiary of Honda Motors Japan has launched its range of outboard engines in the country priced between Rs. 1.85-8 lakhs. The outboard engines will be first available in Kerala and will be subsequently launched nationally. Outboard engine is very popular in fishing business and has a market size of around 1400 units in Kerala. The company has 26 models ranging from 2-225bhp versions for every application including tourism, transportation, leisure, fishing, coastal defence, Navy, Customs and Marine Police. Indmerc Marine has been appointed as the authorised retailer of these 4-stroke engines in Kochi.

“Transport and leisure usage are increasing at a high rate. The state is already a leading market for Honda products and the company is targeting a growth of 20%,” Takashi Hamasaki, Honda Products said.
