A new teaser has just surfaced on YouTube for a Honda ADV scooter. The teaser, while obviously not revealing the complete design, gives us glimpses of the rear tail setup and the general touring ethos of the scooter.

2017 Honda City Adventure

The teaser seems to be for Honda’s City Adventure scooter

What’s being called as the City Adventure by many, has been teased in a video released by Honda. The teaser opens with the words ‘Your horizons are going to change forever’ which immediately encapsulates the adventure touring ethos of the teased machine. By the looks of it, the two-wheeler seems to be the ADV scooter that the company has been working on for a while now.

We can make out from the teaser, that the seating position will be upright. The growling exhaust note seems to be coming from a twin-cylinder motor. The scooter anyways borrows many parts from the Honda NC750X, which features a 745cc parallel-twin engine. The ADV scooter will also share the same chassis as the NC750X and Integra. The upside-down forks up front, are unique to the ADV however. The bike also seems to get spoke wheels rather than alloys for better off-road capabilities. ABS will be available as standard for the European market.

While the price is expected to be quite steep, the scooter should make for a good all round solution for the enthusiast who also has to commute. However, the seemingly low ground clearance, and the seating setup might make it difficult for some serious off-roading. Hopes for an Indian launch should be dismissed right away, as the chances for such a scooter being launched in our market are next to none. So Honda, if you’re listening, give us the CBR250RR instead.
