Honda Unveils Honda 0 α Prototype SUV At Japan Mobility Show 2025

Honda debuts its Honda 0 α prototype SUV, previewing a 2027 global EV launch

Honda revealed the world premiere of the Honda 0 α (alpha) prototype, a next-generation electric SUV, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The model, showcased at Honda’s booth from October 29 to November 9, marks the latest addition to the automaker’s Honda 0 Series lineup, following the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV introduced earlier at CES 2025.

Developed as a “gateway model” to the Honda 0 Series, the Honda 0 α aims to combine refined aesthetics with practical versatility. Designed to harmonize with both urban and natural environments, the SUV reflects Honda’s commitment to supporting diverse lifestyles through innovative mobility solutions.

The prototype embodies the “Thin, Light, and Wise” philosophy that underpins the Honda 0 Series. Its design achieves a low vehicle height while maintaining ample ground clearance and a spacious cabin. The exterior presents a sleek, wide stance to emphasise stability and dynamism, core traits of an SUV.

Distinctive to the Honda 0 α are its integrated screen areas on both the front and rear. The front unites the headlights, charging lid and illuminated emblem into a single cohesive design, while the rear features U-shaped lighting that merges tail, backup, and turn signal lamps, accentuating both form and function.

Honda plans to launch the production version of the Honda 0 α globally in 2027, focusing initially on the Japanese and Indian markets.
