Hero Electric Unveils AE-47 At 2020 Auto Expo
The Hero AE-47 features a digital instrument cluster, keyless access, mobile charger, etc.
Hero Electric aims to be at the forefront of the EV segment with its new range of green two-wheelers.
Hero Electric used the 2020 Auto Expo as a platform to showcase multiple products in the EV segment. The electric motorcycle AE-47 was one of the highlights. The electric motorcycle is powered by a 4000W motor which enables the bike to hit the top speed of 85 km/hr. The motorcycle is equipped with a lightweight Lithium-Ion battery of 48V/3.5 kWh.
The Hero AE-47 features a digital instrument cluster, keyless access, mobile charger, walk assist and reverse feature. The motorcycle is supported by a mobile app featuring GPS, GPRS, Realtime tracking and Geofencing. The bike also features cruise control. The motorcycle has a charging time of 4 hours and can give a range of 85 km per charge in Power mode and 160 km per charge in Eco mode.
The next vehicle on the list was the Hero AE-29 electric scooter. The scooter is powered by a 1000W motor and can hit a top speed of 56 km/hr. The scooter is equipped with a 48V/3.5 kWh Lithium-Ion battery with a charging time of 4 hours. The first IOT enabled electric scooter features Bluetooth connectivity, anti-theft smart lock, mobile charger, mobile app, digital instrument cluster, walk assist and reverse facility.
Hero Electric also showcased an innovative concept in the form of the Trike AE-3. This one-of-a-kind vehicle is equipped with a self-standing Gyroscopic stability feature with Auto balance park switch. The vehicle can go 100 kilometers on a full charge. It is capable of hitting a top speed of 80km/hr. It is powered by 5500W motor it is equipped with 48V/4kWh Lithium-Ion battery. The vehicle also features digital instrument cluster, mobile charger, walk assist, reverse assist at 26 km/hr, mobile app, GPS, GPRS, real-time tracking and Geofencing.
Hero Electric also showcased the AE-75 and AE-8 scooters. The company is planning to accommodate a larger portfolio with aggressive investment plans in the next three years. The company is looking at a production target of 5 lakh units of EVs a year with special emphasis on low powered scooters. Hero Electric is currently the largest electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India.
