Ford To Launch Figo 1.6 AT

Just before you get excited and start jumping, we should clarify that Ford is not planning to launch the 1.6 AT in India. Instead the company is planing to launch the 1.6 AT in the middle east early next year. The Figo will be exported to Middle East from Ford’s manufacturing facility in Chennai, which will manufacture the 1.6 Figo. The Figo is available in 1.4L (80PS) Petrol equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and 1.6L (101PS) Petrol mated to a 5-speed automatic for the Middle East market. Since the car is being manufactured locally, there are quite a favourable probability of the company launching the Figo 1.6 but in manual trim in India. This will be a hot hatch in the true sense of the word.
