Force Motors New SUV Is Explorer

Force Motors plans to launch a new SUV which will be meant for the urban market. The Pune based company is hoping their new offering will do to them, what Scorpio did to Mahindra. The Fordce Explorer will be powered by a 2.2 liter oilburner producing 220bhp built under license from Daimler. The ride and handling has been tuned by Lotus Engineering. The company has invested close to Rs. 150 crore to install an annual production capacity of 24,000 units at Pithampur. The Explorer will be produced there and Force Motors is very positive about the prototype.
