It seems like the end of the road for the Fiat Palio is nearing with Bharat Stage IV emission norms coming into effect from the 1st of April this year. With sales revolving around 50 units per month, it is a wise decision by the Italian firm to call it a day on the Palio as its replacement, the Grande Punto is doing decent numbers. There will be no upgrades for the Palio and the car will continue to sell in cities where BSIV norms won’t come into effect. Eventually the Palio will be phased out completely from the Indian car market when the whole country switches to BSIV norms in 2015.
