Fiat Brazil Sells 10 Million Cars

Fiat is celebrating in Brazil, with its ten millionth vehicle produced in the Latin American country – all of which is helping to give Fiat more than a quarter of the local market and the number one spot. Fiat has been building cars and light commercial vehicles in Brazil since 1976 and today the Fiat factory in Betim produces 15 different models and hundreds of variants, with more than 3000 vehicles produced per day.

In May, Fiat sold 60,628 vehicles to take 25.5%t of the Brazilian market, ahead of Volkswagen and General Motors, thus enabling Fiat to claim the number one spot in the market for the first five months of this year.
