Energica Electric Motorcycles India Launch In 2020
Energica Italian electric bike maker plans to enter India by 2020 end.
Energica is an Italian motorcycle brand which has a range of high performance electric bikes. They have three bikes in their lineup – Energica Ego, Energica Eva Ribelle and Energica Eva EsseEsse9.
The bike maker has confirmed that they will enter the Indian market by 2020 end or early 2021. Until now they were offering their products in Europe and US. Energica now wants to focus on Asian markets.
The Italian brand believs that Thailand, Vietnam and Japan are more involved in bikes but the company will be concentrating on India and China for now.
Energica currently has no affordable motorcycle in their fleet. They only have a range of high performance electric motorcycles that will be considered as lifestyle products in the Indian market.
The Energica Ego is a fully faired high performance bike while the Eva Ribelle is a streetfighter and the Eva EsseEsse9 is a retro electric motorcycle.
Energica Ego comes with an electric motor that produces 145 BHP and 215 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 240 km/hr and a range of 400 km.
Energica Eva Ribelle has the same 145 BHP motor with 215 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 200 km/hr and a range of 400 km.
Energica Eva EsseEsse9 comes with a 109 BHP motor with 200 Nm of torque. Top speed is limited to 200 km/hr while the range is claimed to be 400 km.
