Tata Motors showcased an electric version of its Indica hatchback at an industry conference. It would be launched in Norway by 2009 and will make it to India by 2010. The car is being developed in association with a Norwegian partner and is based on the previous non Vista generation model.

A full charge takes 8 hours and enables a range of 200kms, which isn’t much but Tata is still working on it. Tata also plan to introduce electric variants of the worlds cheapest car, the Tata Nano.
