California Superbike School Is Back In India
The California Superbike School (CSS) is the best known motorcycle racing school in the world founded by Keith Code in 1980. The school has trained more than 1,50,000 riders across 27 countries including riders in MotoGP, World Superbikes (WSBK) and many other racing series. The school has trained World Champions such as Wayne Rainey, James Toseland, Thomas Luthi and Chris Vermuelen. The California Superbike School entered Indian shores three years back in 2010, after three successful years, this will be the fourth season for the school in India at the Madras Motor Racing Track (MMRT) in Chennai this month.
The training programme being held by the CSS in India aims to provide good skills needed to perform at various levels of motorsport to the talented young drivers, who don’t have access to world class training and to enhance the riding skills of the riders to make them aware of safe riding practices and responsibilities on the road. From sports bikes to cruiser bikes, the California Superbike School offers training for all riders. The training programme starts with a three day course from January 18th to 20th followed by a three day camp from January 25th to 27th.
The California Superbike School programme in India will feature TVS Motors’ Apache RTR 180 motorcycles for the trainees and BMW Motorrad’s S1000RR motorcycles for the coaches. Joe Roberts will be the lead instructor for this programme. Joe Roberts is a 15 year old Red Bull prodigy trained personally by Keith Code. He is a winner of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. It is a great programme being conducted by the CSS, and a good opportunity for all the bike enthusiasts.
