BS6 Vespa VXL 149 & SXL 149 Launched, Priced From Rs. 1.22 Lakhs

Piaggio has updated the Vespa VXL and SXL scooters with BS6 engines.

Vespa scooters have just got an update as Piaggio adds new BS6 engine. Not only this, the names have been revised too according to the updated displacement. Vespa VXL 149 and SXL 149 renamed from VXL 150 and SXL 150.

The Vespa VXL 149 is priced at Rs. 1,22,664/- (all prices, ex-showroom) while the SXL 149 is priced at Rs. 1,26,650/-.

The scooters have been renamed as the engine displacement goes down by 1cc. Both the scooters are now powered by a 149cc BS6 compliant motor that produces 10.3 BHP of power at 7600 RPM and 10.6 Nm at 5500 RPM. The power output has gone down from 11.4 BHP.

There are no other changes apart from these mechanical updates and renaming. Both the scooters continue to be offered with 200 mm front disc, 140 mm rear drum, single side-arm front suspension, hydraulic rear shock absorber and single-channel ABS.
