Bajaj Auto to make a comeback in the scooter segment this year

Bajaj Auto is preparing to make a comeback in the scooter segment with an all-electric scooter. The Bajaj Urbanite is expected to make its debut during the festive season this year. Test mules of the upcoming Bajaj electric scooter have been spied on test in Pune recently.

As you can see in the spy pictures, the rear profile of the scooter is wide and features twin tail lamps. The styling looks very similar to the sketches leaked earlier this year. We can expect the Indian two-wheeler maker to come up with advanced tech with new connectivity features in the electric scooter. Power figures and specifications are yet to be revealed.

Focusing on intra-city mobility solutions with the Urbanite brand, Bajaj Auto aims to come up with futuristic and innovative products. Rajiv Bajaj had earlier stated that he wants the Urbanite brand to become the Tesla of two-wheelers. The Urbanite brand will have separate dealerships and later Bajaj Auto intends to introduce more electric vehicles under the new brand.
