One of the most frequently asked questions in the comments section at MotorBeam is when will Bajaj be launching the Pulsar 200 NS. We have always maintained that the Pulsar 200 NS will be launched by the end of May and now confirmation has come from Rajiv Bajaj itself. The MD of Bajaj Auto has revealed in an interview to CNBC that the Pulsar 200 NS will be launched next week in Maharashtra. The company will follow a phased launch approach. The Pulsar 200 NS will be available pan India by July 2012.

“We have to become a better and bigger motorcycle brand worldwide. We’re the leader in markets like the Philippines, Nigeria, Honduras, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Exports have tripled in the last three years,” Rajiv Bajaj said.

Production of the Pulsar 200 NS will depend on the demand for the bike and Bajaj Auto will accordingly manufacture it from July. The company will produce only 2500 units in June and is looking at taking customer feedback before boosting production. Within three months of launch, Bajaj Auto expects to stabilize sales to 10,000-15,000 units per month. The company will start exports of the Pulsar 200 NS in August. Rajiv Bajaj also reiterated the fact that the current Pulsars will not be discontinued and henceforth a new Pulsar will be launched every year.
