Audi A3

German luxury car maker Audi AG has expressed its intention to launch the A3 in India by 2010. When launched the A3 will by far be the most expensive hatch back on sale in our country. The A3 will be loaded with features like any other Audi.

The Audi A3 is an entry level luxury car based on the Volkswagen Group A platform and will come with a 1.9 TDI diesel engine producing 105BHP and 240NM of torque. The gear box is a 5 speed one and the car is expected to be priced between 20-25 lacs.  The car will be available only as a front wheel drive. With the 500 launched and Mini planning to get the Cooper, it won’t be easy for Audi to sell the A3.
