Tata Nano LX Going For Discount

The Tata Nano has been doing decent numbers but still not performing to the level which Tata Motors’ expects from the world’s cheapest car. The company had hiked the prices of the Nano a few months back and this has not gone too well with prospective buyers. Thus, some dealers are offering a cash discount of Rs. 20,000/- on the Nano LX (top model). The Tata Nano is priced at Rs. 1,71,969/- for the base variant, Rs. 2,05,433/- for the CX variant and Rs. 2,36,103/- for the LX variant (all prices on-road, Mumbai). Could this discount be to clear stocks of the Nano as an upgraded version is due!
