Tata Motors Announces Price Increase Across ICE And EV Lineup From July 1
Tata Motors has confirmed a price revision across its passenger vehicle portfolio, with prices set to increase by up to 1.5 percent from July 1, 2026. The adjustment will apply to both internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles sold by the company.
According to Tata Motors, the decision has been taken in response to rising input costs and continued inflationary pressures affecting the automotive industry. The company stated that while it has absorbed a significant portion of these additional costs, a partial price adjustment has become necessary.
The exact increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Based on current ex-showroom prices, the revision could translate to an increase of as much as Rs. 43,485 on select variants at the higher end of Tata’s range.
The price hike will impact Tata’s entire passenger vehicle lineup, including popular models such as the Punch, Nexon, Altroz, Harrier and Safari, along with the company’s growing electric vehicle portfolio comprising the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Harrier EV and Tigor EV.
This marks the second price revision for Tata’s ICE vehicle range in 2026. Earlier this year, the company increased prices of its petrol and diesel models by up to 0.5 percent. Meanwhile, the upcoming July revision will be the first price increase for Tata’s electric vehicle lineup this year.
The move comes at a time when several automakers are adjusting vehicle prices to counter rising production and operational expenses. Other major manufacturers, including Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki, have also announced price hikes in recent months citing similar cost-related challenges.
Customers planning to purchase a Tata vehicle may therefore consider completing their bookings before the revised prices come into effect at the start of July.
