Hyundai Exter Lineup Expanded, Gets Two Mid-Spec Trims, i.e. S Smart & SX Smart

Hyundai has expanded the lineup for the Exter. The popular SUV will now be available in S Smart and SX Smart trims. These trims are positioned in the middle of the other trims and will be available in Petrol and CNG options.

These are mid-spec variants, which bring some of the features seen in the top-spec variants at an affordable price. Notably, the company has promised that ISOFIX anchor points will be standard across all variants.  

The S Smart variant features LED DRLs, electric sunroof, LED tail lights, tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear AC vents. The SX Smart variant features a smart key, allows for push-button start, includes a shark fin antenna, and boasts projector headlights. The 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is available at a premium of Rs. 14,999.

These new trims are available in Petrol and CNG variants. Both variants utilize a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces 83 HP and generates 113.6 Nm of torque. In CNG mode, the power and torque drop to 69 HP and 95.2 Nm, respectively. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, and the petrol option is available with a 5-speed AMT as well.
