Toyota Kirloskar Motor has recently announced a voluntary recall for its luxury SUV, the Land Cruiser 300. This recall affects a specific batch of vehicles, totalling 269 units, manufactured between 12th February, 2021 and 1st February, 2023. The recall aims to address a potential issue with the automatic transmission’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) software.

Fortunately, no incidents related to the affected part have been reported thus far, ensuring that customer safety remains uncompromised. In a proactive measure, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has pledged to rectify the situation by updating the software of the identified SUVs, at no additional cost to the customers.

Despite the recall, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has assured that owners can continue to use their Land Cruiser 300s until the necessary software update is completed. To facilitate a seamless resolution process, representatives from Toyota dealerships will reach out to affected customers individually.

Available exclusively in a fully loaded variant, it is powered by a 3.3-litre V6 diesel engine generating 305 BHP and 700 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
