BMW Finds JLR Prime Competition For Top Position

BMW is the number one luxury car manufacturer in India by a long shot. However with the recent announcement by Tata Motors to locally assemble Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in the country, that could very well change. BMW has agreed that they could face competition from JLR as the Tata owned company recently slashed prices of the Freelander 2. BMW’s upcoming X3 SUV will directly compete with the Land Rover, but with the Bavarian firm having a better distribution network, it won’t be easy to displace them from the numero uno spot.
