Ford Unveils New Fiesta On April 14

Ford has officially confirmed the unveiling of the new Fiesta in India. The company will take wraps off the upcoming car at Delhi on the 14th of April, 2011. The media event will witness only the unveiling of the car along with details on the launch and possibly the variants. However no details on the pricing of the new Fiesta will be revealed. The new Fiesta is expected to be priced between Rs. 7-9 lakhs and will compete against the Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and the upcoming 2011 Hyundai Verna. The new 2011 Ford Fiesta will be powered by new engines, a 1.6 liter petrol motor equipped with variable valve timing technology which would produce 118bhp of power. A new 1.4 liter diesel engine will also do duty on the 2011 Fiesta with 90hp of power and 200Nm of torque. The C-segment is all said to heat up with Nissan planning to enter as well. Ford has discontinued the Ikon completely and the Fiesta Classic takes position of the Josh Machine.
