BMW To Assemble X3 In India

BMW has announced the local assembly of the X3 Sport Activity Vehicle F25 at the recently concluded press conference of the 6-Series Convertible. The company will launch the X3 SAV in June, 2011 and will import CKD kits to assemble the machine at its Chennai facility. The German automaker has invested Rs. 180 crore for the capacity expansion to facilitate the assembling of the X3. The BMW X3 will be available in two models, the X3 xDrive20d Diesel with a 184bhp engine priced at Rs. 41.2 lakh and the X3 xdrive25i petrol which will be priced at Rs. 42.2 lakh.
