Force Motors To Price SUV At Rs. 10 Lakhs

Force Motors will launch its SUV in May, 2011 at a price of Rs. 10-12 lakhs. The company will enter the passenger market with this launch. The Pune based commercial vehicles maker expects to sell close to 4000 units of the SUV in the first year itself. Powered by a 2.2 liter Mercedes-Benz licenced engine, the Force SUV will produce power close to 140bhp and torque of 300Nm. The Force SUV will be Euro IV compliant and Euro V ready.

Force Motors also plans to launch more models on the SUV platform in the near future. The company has used the expertise of Lotus Engineering in the ride and handling of their upcoming SUV. Localised to the tune of 80%, the Force SUV will be produced at the company’s Pithampur plant in Madhya Pradesh. The company will have 50 dealerships under the passenger vehicle division to market the upcoming vehicle.
